I just did not like the writing style. It was too fast and brushed over details for the main plot, yet on no fewer than eight separate occasions was a paragraph or page dedicated to the dogs’ bathroom needs. Also, there was a lot of repetitive sentences, mentions of previous books, and just description that wasn’t really needed. There are two mysteries going at one time, but neither were difficult to solve and there were no exciting twists. I also couldn’t connect to literally any character. I know it’s a cozy mystery, but it was too cozy for me.
