A brilliant sequel that was a great continuation from the first book and has made me even more excited for the third book!

I loved Aya’s conflict with her power, and accepting her new status as the Second Saint. I hated Will’s struggle to balance his love for Aya and his doubt for himself. I felt so conflicted towards Tova throughout the novel. I wish Aidon wasn’t so self-sacrificing and Josie wasn’t so quick to act. I loved and hated the twists and turns throughout the novel. Some I predicted but some I did not, especially the ending!

I adore Aya and Will’s relationship and their declarations of love were perfect! I know for a fact that Will will not stop until he finds Aya. The politics of power, conflict and religion are rife in this book and it reminds me how much I hate selfish, power-hungry people. Evie is clearly on a rampage for revenge but she needs to leave my girl, Aya, alone. I am off to pre-order the third book!
