No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre
4.0

It’s like, the quintessential existential piece of writing so of course it’s good. The notion of existence only being others interpretations with Garcin being defined exclusively by how he’s perceived by others, Estelle requiring validation from someone else to feel good about herself was really well displayed. Inez seems to be the voice of reason, the Zarathustra of the story in that she’s already shed all of that shit before she even went to hell. She killed god before god killed her. It was really good, it’s been on my list for a while so I’m glad I read it finally.
