My favorite personal growth books are actually more like reflective memoirs. Bogel is excellent at this, as witness from her two previous non-fiction books, but this one will really speak to anyone with anxiety, insomnia, racing what-if thoughts, and who just wonders, time and again, if they're doing the right thing - from the minutia to the bigger deal. She throws in some psychology about things like decision fatigue and stress, but really, its the personal stories, like giving a homeless man money and worrying that you should have given him a granola bar too, that had me fighting tears and feeling SEEN. Her books are like a two bite brownie - they're perfect the size they are, but you want the next one soon!
