adelareads 's review for:
Dolores Claiborne
by Stephen King
I listened to the audiobook and it was just perfect. The narrator was spotless, just the right voice for this book!
Dolores Claiborne is such a memorable character. Although she endured a lot and gone through so much suffering, she is true to herself and onest in telling her life struggles even if that involves murder.
She is one strong lady who's not afraid of standing up for herself in most stressful situations... and there were a few.
Her relationship with her husband wasn't good, but she loved her kids and did what was best for them. As for her employer, Vera, that was a difficult person to say it nicely. I would have snaped so many times to Vera's behavior and her hurtful words, but Dolores was very attentive and understanding.
I'm not sure I would have liked this book as mych if I had read it. I hope I would've
