This is a good book and I really enjoyed reading it. It focuses on the harsh reality of having to be a mother of multiple children without any support from the father or anyone else. And how hard it is to be a full time mom since it's an unending job in which there are no breaks nor holidays. Add some mental or psychological issues to this equation and that would end in a disaster.

However, it dragged on and on and on. And went from good to OK to are you kidding me to just end it already. It could have been 150 pages shorter. And I agree with the comments that said that the last twist about how Betsy got hurt was just ridiculous. The previously presented scenario was more believable and more likely to happen.
