Breakfast of Champions
by Kurt Vonnegut
Breakfast of Champions almost felt like a tongue in cheek take on waiting for godot at times. I loved the perspective and oversimplification of cultural and political symbols/ concepts. The ending was bizarre where it felt as though "the Creator" actually discarded the protagonist. This was my first Vonnegut book and it was a wild ride. It left me chuckling, confused, enlightened, and frustrated... sometimes within the same paragraph. Curious to try another Vonnegut soon.
