Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

3.0

First off, the past two books from Colleen Hoover, I really enjoyed them, but Ugly love? It just didn’t do it for me at all. The way that Miles’ POVs were written was annoying to read and seemed really pointless, it didn’t add anything. And just Miles in general! He seemed so obsessed with Rachel it was pretty unsettling to read, especially when they didn’t stop seeing each other once their parents got together it just seemed weird. He looked like he had absolutely no respect for Tate at all, walking all over her just so he could have sex! The only redeeming part of the book for him is the end when he admits he loves her and they move in together. Apart from that I really didn’t like his character.

Tate was pretty much the same for me, she didn’t seem to have any self-respect at all, and was borderline pathetic when it came to Miles, she knew she couldn’t deal with a friends with benefits type situation yet forced herself into it to see if she could change him. She should’ve just left it honestly. I again thought she had a bit of a better character at the end of the book.
I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone who doesn’t like reading about a lot of sex, as it made me a bit uncomfortable due to the amount of scenes like that.
