Royal Blood by Aimée Carter
4.0
Great Read
This was an enjoyable read. This is the first book in the Royal Blood series. In this book, we meet Evangeline "Evan" Bright, the 17-year-old illegitimate child of the King of England, Alexander. She is forced to spend time in England with her father and his family. They don't want her to be there, nor does she want to be there as well. However, when she becomes the murder suspect of a well-known friend of the Royals, she has to rely on her new "family." I thought that the story was great. It was intriguing. I thought The mystery and murder was a great read. I thought Evan was a great character. This story made her a more relatable character. She has been put in bad situations, but I thought she was smart and witty. I thought that the ending was interesting, and it made for an intriguing storyline for book 2 - Royal Scandal. I cannot wait to read book 2. Royal Scandal, here I come. Overall, a great read.
