Night and Silence by Seanan McGuire

Liked: that people who suffered some hard stuff in the last book aren't just magically okay. They have trauma to deal with. I appreciate when, even though this is a completely fantastical universe and rules about things like distance and healing can be worked around with magic, McGuire puts so much humanity into her characters.
Didn't like: this was a hard book on Toby, and vicariously hard on my because of that. Also the plot was a little skippy. As in, we kept galloping through, and then at the end looking back we were a little confused about how we got to the end.
