blu912 's review for:
Deviant King
by Rina Kent
When I initially started this book, I was bummed that it wasn't dual POV. I love getting both perspectives of the characters to get a full picture of the story that is playing out. After I read a bit, I got used to it only being in Elsa's point of view but still missed that I didn't get Aiden's ESPECIALLY since he is such an anomaly. I enjoyed this book, it was hard to love Aiden at times with his insane behavior but when we got to see his sweet side show (rarely lol), it was nice. I found the plot to be very intriguing and was waiting for the other shoe to drop. As it inevitably did at the last second. I really want to know more about Aiden and his mind so I am excited to read the second book where we actually get his POV. I am also highly intrigued by Elsa's past and why she has covered up the trauma in her mind. I suspect that her parents were like serial killers or something based on the book thus far or AT LEAST were abusive to her on a pretty disturbing level.
4/5 for the characters, plot and intriguing mysteries. I got a bit bored of the back and forth at times but I think it does serve the plot!
