unfortunately i keep going back to murakami because he has a captivating way of telling a story... however, as much as i expected it, i hated almost every description of women in this book & sex scenes were soooooo unnecessary. but that's expected from murakami and putting that aside i'm very annoyed at the ending? i expected an open ending but absolutely nothing connected at the end... what happened to haida, what was the point of his father's story (which seemed to be the core plot of the book only to not get brought up ever again), what was the point of sara's murderer.......... i'm just confused, the story was intriguing and i had fun reading the book but the ending fell short and the most interesting elements weren't even developed?
