I’ve waited far too long for this.
I wasn’t keen on the VLG series and was really looking forward to a new addition to one of my favorite guilty pleasures.
It didn’t amaze me, nor did it fall flat.
The writing is as always simplistic, but I actually like that in these books even if it sometimes wears a bit on my nerves. I just wish there hadn’t been so much background noice with dialogues telling me stuff instead of showing it.
The first story in this book was really the strongest imo. Snow and Mel was sort of sweet, albeit a bit boring.
The second one about Lash and Mary threw me a bit.
Spoiler How is it sexy that a big strong male has sex with a terrified, significantly smaller woman? How could everyone just brush it off?

Both heroines must have swallowed the blond pill (sorry fellow blonds, they just give us a bad name). Both were babbling cartoons. Especially when they had been exposed to the manly males who apparently licked all of their functioning brain cells out of them.

Still this is my guilty pleasure and I really would have rated it 4 stars if the initial meeting between Lash and Mary had been so cringy. As it is I can only give 3 stars even though I enjoyed most of both stories.
