Introducing Quantum Theory: A Graphic Guide
by J. P. McEvoy
This is a very short book which probably in total took me only 2 or 3 hours to read through. I usually read a few pages at a time when I had a spare moment, and the way the book's laid out makes it very easy to dip in an out of (it doesn't have long chapters, but discusses one main point in a couple of pages).
It's incredibly concise, getting straight to the point with the physics and the history behind it. It is quite heavy-going, but at least it's easy to pick something out and re-read it. It's written in very simple English (though inevitably there are some technical words used, but they are explained). The brevity of the book means that once it's mentioned something it will likely never explain it again.
Not an easy book (though I'll gander it's easy compared to most quantum theory books), but very accessible and concise. Highly recommended for those interested in quantum theory or the history behind it.
