The atmosphere in this is absolutely immaculate. Deeply fairytale-esque, between this and Spinning Silver, Naomi Novik oozes love for whimsical fantasy. But I found the characters and plot were too "go girl give us nothing!" I also can't buy that Agnieszka and the Dragon are going to fall in love, they lacked chemistry and I simply have no more fucks to give about emotionally constipated aloof tall dark and handsome men.
