The magic and Norse mythology was cool but like the rest of this simply was not for me. I did not like Freya, I thought her characterization was inconsistent and unclear (and also just like irritating). The plot was pretty dull and I didn’t care about what was happening, none of the twists felt particularly surprising because things were signaled so obviously beforehand. I liked the powers bestowed by gods (I’m a Percy Jackson gal so like, I guess that always works for me lol) but I think it could have been more interesting and the world could have been more informed by this magic system. Glad it’s done so I can move on!
