Sam and Sadie desperately need therapy to overcome their miscommunication, narcissistic tendencies, and paralyzing insecurities. and yet despite all of this, I still found myself rooting for them.

also "Chapter VII: The NPC" is among the best pieces of literature in the 21st century. second-person narration is so difficult and Zevin does it so perfectly. I think we'll be talking about that chapter and her narration for a long, long time.
