This is my second Emily Henry read, and it is set in concrete that I will read any adult novel she has published.

After reading People We Meet on Vacation , I found out about Book Lovers and wanted an ARC very badly. While I did receive an ARC, I decided to wait until the physical copy came out because I just knew that I would take pen to book pages and annotate.
I was correct.

Though with this one, just like People We Meet on Vacation, it was a slow start, once I hit 60 pages, I was hooked.
Nora starts off with this 'not-like-other-girls' mindset, not in a pick-me sense, but in a 'I-have-unresolved-trauma-I-haven't-tended-to' way and I did not know if her and I would mesh very well.
But ad the paragraphs were read and the pages were turned, I saw that we are both very similar. Please hold as I find a therapist.

Reading the scenes of her and her younger sister hurt at times. Seeing how Nora struggle with not knowing what things her sister was going through and n0t being able to not have at least 5 plans ready was too real. Yes, I am a planner and feel like I have to do everything all at once to make sure it goes right and everyone is happy in the end, nice to meet you!

The scenes between Nora and Charlie??? Their banter??? Nora realizing her feelings for him??? CHAPTER 21?!?!?!?!? Yeah, I needed every bit of it and honestly, I demand a novella.

The way the third act was handled, to me, was really great. As someone who reads a good amount of contemporary romance novels, it tends to feel a bit repetitive at times, so it was nice having an instance not filled with miscommunication.

I truly loved this novel and these characters. It makes me even more excited to pick up Beach Read. Wouldn't be surprised if I try to fit in into my busy and chaotic schedule this summer.
