Fractured by R. Phillips

dark emotional mysterious sad slow-paced

5.0

In honor of Fractured’s release being 1 week away (March 7th) here’s my review of the ARC. Thank you @rphillipswrites for the early copy!

*wipes away tears so I can see*

Truly this book, this series, deserves an infinite amount of stars, at least in return of the countless amount of tears I shed throughout these books.

I’m not even really sure how to word my reaction and thoughts of this series. I am beyond grateful Rachael gave me the opportunity to read her books early so I could be emotional before the masses get their hands on it.

“What is a life? A collection of memories? A series of glorious highs and heartrending lows? Is it a purpose, cumulative or singular? Or is it something more? Something beyond what is tangible or even immaterial? Something beyond even what is found within us.”

Rachael drew me in from the prologue of Entangled and had me trapped in this fictional universe until the last word of the Fractured’s epilogue.

My recommendation? Have a box of tissues at the ready, because you will need them, maybe even 2 or 3 boxes.

It’s hard to say much without giving away important details, but I will say, being granted a lens into El’s story has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life. As I read her story, I felt her pain, her joy, laughter and heartbreak. If you don’t come out of these books feeling something, you did it wrong.

In book 1 & 2, it’s very easy to choose #TeamCoop or #TeamJace, but book 3 is very clearly #TeamEl because she deserves it, she’s earned our support.

“Because life was messy and so was healing”

This Twisted Tale has twisted my heart and wrapped it tightly around the future of all R. Phillips books and I can’t wait to follow the LA boys in Mortals at Play and see the start of the Fateless Saga!
