2.0

Doubling as an overall series review, I feel that the series’s overarching problem is that the conflict, at least to me, feel like is build out of nowhere and become explosive so quickly.
Some other points:
  • Julie’s self-strife with her werewolfism is never built up until this volume, which I feel is kind of important to do if that’s one of the main things your main character grapples with.
  •  Lindi feels like a caricature and an “angry butch lesbian” stereotype possibly (as we don’t know her sexuality, iirc). Her explosive anger wouldn’t be as bad if we actually saw her outside of that, but since we don’t it feels pretty icky to me.
  • CT as a character felt super weak to me. I couldn’t pin down what her dynamic with Julie was, and am mostly just confused with regards to her.
The art is the definitely highlight of the series, it’s incredibly gorgeous.
