Jude Saves the World by Ronnie Riley

4.0

This was such a fantastic queer-positive middle grade debut by an ownvoices Canadian author! Jude is nonbinary and struggling with managing their ADHD and also working through how to come out at school and to their unsupportive family members.

The book does a great job focusing on both the harder aspects of being queer (dead-naming, misuse of pronouns, constantly having to 'come out' etc.) but also celebrates the diversity of queerness as Jude fights to establish the first Diversity Group at their school and makes lots of new friends along the way.

Great on audio and perfect for fans of authors like Alex Gino or Kyle Lukoff. I really loved this book and can't wait to see what this author writes next!
