Check Please 1 gives you the slow burn build up that makes this book just fucking perfect. Ngozi’s storytelling and writing is unreal! I cried, I gasped, I giggled and melted, and then I cried again!!! Tears of sadness and pure celebratory joy. AND YES NOW I AM GOING TO READ IT AGAIN I RECOMMEND YOU DO THE SAME
