this was a book on my list that i was eager to reading, and ended up enjoying. i do think the enemies to lovers ratio was a little skewed (not enough enemy to my liking) but their romance did make me 🥰.
this could’ve been a five star read but it irked me how insignificant magic plays in the book. i imagined it as a residue of sorts, minus the typewriters, it didn’t contribute to the plot so i think it would’ve been better off removed altogether. also, not sure if the reason for war is really serious enough to have … just sounds like the gods had a toxic relationship that they should’ve handled face to face instead of resorting to violence
