I find that I really love these kinds of books. Stockholm syndrome is such an interesting thing and reading stories about it is both confusing and overwhelming. The fact that part of you cheers for the villain, the kidnapper, hopes that at the end the MCs will be together again is both scary and awe-inducing. How can our hearts want that?
The writing was really lovely in this book. Gemma's voice was wonderful; descriptive, young but strong, weak at times too. Both she and Ty were very well developed, complex characters, and I enjoyed reading about them immensely.
