Love the One You're With
by Lauren Layne
I sort of skim read most of the beginning of Book 1 because I'd already covered part of the plot on 'Chapters'. The first one was alright but since I didn't read it properly I don't see the need to add it here properly. It was a complete ripoff from 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' though, there were very few differences, bordering potential plagiarism.
Anyway, Book 2. Definitely my least favourite of the 4 but my rating isn't too different, solid 3 stars. I do prefer it to 'Blurred Lines' and I did like the main couple. My gripe with it is that because their relationship was so public and semi-staged, it's difficult to see where the fakeness ends and the real relationship begins. I think Grace and Jake were a cute couple but I can't see them working long-term. It wouldn't usually bother me but the complete lack of true communication, disguised by this game they played, makes me think twice about them working. Cute story but not much else. 3 stars.
