The Happiness Advantage: How a Positive Brain Fuels Success in Work and Life by Shawn Achor
4.0
The Happiness Advantage's rate of cheerful four stars displays my strong and delighted recommendation of the book. Not only will it provide a different perspective on the word success but also because these perspectives will make one examine the trajectory of life's path. My high recommendation is for those who are unable to find joy and contentment in their life, this book will induce a feeling that a good friend is tapping your back saying, 'Build your happiness and you'll be successful.'
The strengths of the book are its striking overall concept that defies the common idea perceived and absorbed by most, to be happy is to be successful in which this case happened to be the other way around, excellent usage of experiments providing depth and credibility, and the relevance of most principles in one's life making it timeless. There are two weaknesses I found all throughout: lengthy and quite disconnected writing and repetitive usage of examples and experiments for sourcing.
