Miracle Times Two by Josie Metcalfe

3.0

Daniel Carterton was born poor while Jenny Sinclair came from the elite. The first time I'm reading Mills and Boon, although Medical, where the hero is a doctor from a poor background and he's still not as rich as the heroine's parents; her doctor parents, while she chose the nursing profession.

Daniel loves Jenny, he wants forever with her but feels that he isn't deserving of her. This was a strange read. A fun story, with its Britishness, over the top but hilarious banter, for sure, but indulged in too much medical information sometimes. Me being me loved to read so many new things which I didn't know about, but it may not be everyone's cuppa and may even be triggering for some people. Otherwise, it was amusing to see Daniel wanting to glance at Jenny every moment, especially after knowing she was pregnant while attending to other at-risk mummies in the hospital.

Apart from the push and pull, her parents butting, a brief moment with an irritating ex of hers, a few things were off. Like how Jenny always "demanded" to know things, a quirk which even Daniel took up, making the characters sound forceful at times. Also, quite a few times the names of even the main characters got mixed up, for example, Sinclair being mentioned as Barber. There were a few typo errors as well, like sentences that should be continued ended on a full stop. This was my first read by the author.
