Sigh. What kind of psycho ends a thirteen-book series with a cliffhanger?! Really, Darynda, haven't we been strung along enough? I'm sure such an experienced author can think of a better way to end a thirteen-book series besides emotionally manipulating her readers into waiting for yet another series just to see how everything wraps up. How about answering some of the questions that have been sprinkled throughout the series? How about some kind of resolution?! Nope, none of that to be found. We just have twists that came out of nowhere, plot lines that aren't relevant to the story overall, and the deaths of a few characters that in no way needed to happen and were handled pretty poorly. The thing is, if this was just another installment it would be fine-ish, but this book is supposed to wrap up the whole series. (Right? That's what final books do. Right? And it's not like the author didn't have enough space to do just that. Need I remind you thirteen-freaking-books!) I'm so annoyed, I'm not sure I'd even start the next series... if it existed. (I know there are a few novellas that I may or may not read at some point in the future. Currently, however, Ms. Jones has used up my good will.)

Ah, well, at least I can say I finished the series and tick that off my TBR. Now I can move on to something else that hopefully has a more satisfactory ending. *walks off grumbling*
