The first Jane Austen book I read in my adult life and I immediately wondered why I hadn’t read one of her books sooner. Beautifully written but around volume 2 it gets very slow and at times I really struggled to push on. It really goes between fast-paced and then it slows right down again … for a while and kind of feels like the book is never going to end. A wonderfully written story nonetheless and worth a read.
