The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
5.0
“Books, she has found, are a way to live a thousand lives--or to find strength in a very long one.”
Infinite stars ⭐️
I was warned. I was told multiple times that this would break my heart and yet I genuinely believed it couldn’t hurt ‘that much’. WRONG.
Quite possibly one of the most beautiful books I’ve had the pleasure of reading. The way Schwab crafted this story was masterful. The prose created one of the most engaging, atmospheric stories I’ve read. The switching timelines gave such an interesting perspective on how Addie has changed throughout her life and how her relationship with her immortality developed.
I cannot recommend this book enough. I still find myself stopping to think about it days later and imagine I will for some time.
