A Christmas Memory
by Truman Capote
I really enjoyed this autobiographical story of two friends separated in age, but not in spirit. A poetic account of their last memory of the holiday season, a memory that can live on for years to come in the heart of a young boy. So many of us have one of these memories tucked away, of when we were young and someone we love was much older. When they pass, there is a certain time of year when that memory comes alive again as if it were just yesterday that the memory was being created.
