Forget Me Not
by Julie Soto
I want to thank NetGalley and Forever Paperback for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The vibe of this book reads like an early 2000’s romcom movie—if set in present day. It’s cheesy. It’s fun. It’s colorful. And a bit slightly unrealistic. But I had enjoyed my time reading it.
The story and plot itself are adorable. I’m a wedding lover myself, so I was easily swayed when I read the synopsis. Wedding planner meets florist? Count me in. I also learned quite a bit about extinct flowers which I thought was pretty cool.
The characters are very lovable. GrumpyxSunshine is always a good trope. The chemistry is rushed, but it’s still clearly there. Ama and Elliot are great main characters and never come off as annoying. The two brides, Hazel and Jackie, are also solid characters as well.
I enjoyed the writing style very much. The flashbacks are set up to inform rather than be a constant filler like I’ve read in other books.
If you’re looking for something fun and spicy, this is a very good read. I will definitely read more from this author.
