Saving CeeCee Honeycutt
by Beth Hoffman
Saving Cee Cee Honeycutt is about a 12 year old girl who has been hiding from the world in the shadow of her mother's embarassing mental illness. Cee Cee is suddenly thrust into the center of attention of a circle of eccentric southern senior women. I love the mix of young and old generations! This book make me laugh out loud and cry real tears. It is brilliantly funny and wise. The book definitely targets female readers, none of the main characters are male. The female characters are all independent enough not to need them. This is an easy book to recommend. Love it!
