This used to be my 'car book', but now that I have started reading on my phone I don't need it any more and honestly I wasn't going to finish anyway. I was only interested in the Cole sections and the writing was pretty bland so ultimately I DNF'ed at about 70%. Knowing as much as I already did about Cole through research I did for my book length fic 'The New Ways of Old Gods' (link below) this story didn't add anything for me. It lacked likable characters and overall was quite bland.

If you're a DA fan and don't already have the knowledge of what happened in this book's time/setting, you might like this a little better.
