Meh? I’m impressed with how the author was able to bring an outdated, problematic storyline into the modern era with likable characters and an adaptation that makes sense. But at the same time…the romance felt sudden and forced. A lot of the issues both main characters had weren’t fleshed out or solved until the final chapter, really rushing the ending. And overall, I know I probably won’t think about this book for any length of time. I do think theater kids would eat this up! Just not me.
