I found the narrative in this story to be incredibly inspiring and struck me to my core as a feminist. Elizabeth Zott is a phenomenal female protagonist who has me rooting for her the entire time because she just keeps going. This story made me cry and take a long break and I picked it back up and felt so empowered by her character and the perspective the main ladies of the story share.
