The Girl Who Was Taken by Charlie Donlea

medium-paced

4.5

Two girls have gone missing, but only one returns...and the girl who returned might remember more than she thinks.

This book is filled with twists and turns all the way up to the end! There are plenty of both blatant and subtle red herrings that kept me speculating on potential "AHA" moments. Though the story felt a little slow/long at times, I remained actively engaged in the narrative.

There is quite a bit of jumping around with the timeline and with various POVs, but I never found it difficult to follow. I really liked getting a medical examiner's perspective. It provides some unique and intriguing insight on how they play their part in solving crime.

I really enjoyed this twisty psychological mystery thriller!
