It’s wasn’t bad. I definitely wasn’t gripping the edge of my seat and staying up late to finish, but I did want to see how everything played out. Some points though felt more like a cheesy action movie than a mystery novel. The MC is putting himself in impossible situation and somehow finds a way out to see another day. But even with all that cheese, I was still curious about Natalie. I didn’t like this whole, I’m in love with a girl I dated in college for 3 months and still think about her everyday, because realistically that just wouldn’t happen and a rational person would have moved on by this point, and I wish this had taken a different route into the motivation of finding her. Long lost love just wasn’t believable for me. Honest curiosity would have been better imo, because that’s what I had. And this girl was the definition of mysterious. At every new clue 50 more questions and scenarios came up. Some a little far fetched, but considering the situation, still possible. That made this a little fun to read. Not to mention the book itself was t too long, quite a quick read, and definitely entertaining. I probably wouldn’t reread it, but I would recommend to anyone looking for a short twisty mystery.
