Brooke is being harassed by a blocked number who calls repeatedly, which she believes is connected to several times her car has been vandalized (newspapers, bumper stickers, slashing tires). All of this she blames on the brother of the girl at the center of the incident. Regardless of all of this, she’s still accepted into Yale and doing well at school. She goes to a party to celebrate her Yale acceptance and the night does not turn out as she expected.
This story is being told in two timelines, before the incident and after. It’s primarily from Brooke’s POV.
It was a fast paced, interesting story. I enjoyed That’s Not My Name, so I wanted to give this one a chance. I was trying not to compare them, but I felt this was a bit more predictable and I wasn’t shocked by the ending. I didn’t like a single person in this book.
