Killing Commendatore by Haruki Murakami
5.0

This was one hell of a ride. Took me a whole month to finish. I had to take longer breaks between the chapters to process everything that was happening. With full honesty, this one is so far my favorite Murakami book. Really an unforgettable one. It’s one of those books that makes your heart ache when you finish it because you’re not ready yet, even though you know that it has to be. You’ve spent so much time in that 600-pages-long World and then suddenly comes the day you have to leave it and you become upset, but at the same time you know very well that it won’t leave you, and that you will be coming back sooner or later, as if revisiting that one place from your childhood memory you’ve been craving to see once again someday in your life, and when that happens it strucks you with utmost happiness.
That’s the kind of book this one is.
