Jock Row by Sara Ney
3.0
Rowdy is a hotshot baseball player at his college and Scarlett is the cockblocker who just wants to protect her friends from the slimy players trying to hit on them. Rowdy gets tasked to "babysit" Scarlett so that his friends can hook up with her friends without any obstacles.
And this book was SO cute! It was fun and fluffy and exactly what I needed to start off my New Year. It was a slow-burn romance built on a quirky friendship and it was a delight to read.
Rowdy is the captain of the baseball team and he is not used to girls saying no to him, or anyone for that matter. In walks Scarlett who is sassy and witty. She sees right through all the boy's shenanigans. However, week after week (at the baseball house parties), her relationship with Rowdy sprouts. Their chemistry is unmatched and I fell in love with these characters!
Also, there is no third-act break up (or much of a conflict at all) so I think this would be the perfect book if you want a quick and cute read!
