5 years ago Andie Bell was thought to be murdered by her boyfriend Sal. In the 5 years since, Sal's family has been ostracized by the community, blaming them for Andie's death as well. But not everyone thinks that Sal killed Andie. Pip thinks other people could be involved and she's determined to get to the bottom of Andie's death. What Pip doesn't know is that she is about to dig up secrets that are going to shatter the lives of everyone around her. Secrets that people would kill to keep buried.

This book was freaking fantastic. I could not get enough. It was fast and interesting and I absolutely loved how it was written. The idea of this being Pip's Capstone project and the entries being a sort of diary of her investigation was brilliant.

I really enjoyed the idea of Sal's brother being a part of the investigation to clear his brother's name. I thought it was an excellent plot point and it brought in a really good perspective. Pip is determined to get to the bottom of Andie's death and she really won't let anything stop her-which I think does and doesn't work in her favor. I do love how even though certain things are discovered that hurt those closest to her, she doesn't let that stop her from uncovering the truth. 

As soon as I picked this book up, I couldn't put it down. It was intense from the very beginning and I loved how invested I became in finding the truth right alongside Pip. The twists and turn this book takes you on are fantastic. It kept me guessing and I didn't figure it out until the very end. AND THAT FINAL TWIST! I did NOT see that coming. That was a fantastic way to end the book. It was incredible and I cannot wait to read the rest of the book in the series.
