To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf

3.0

I'm not sure how to feel about this one yet. Virginia Woolf is one of the titans of modernism, and this is my first time reading her. This isn't a very long book, but it took me months to get through. For some reason, it's not easy. It's very internal.

The title is appropriate: this is a book about daily life of an English family as they head toward - or talk about heading toward - a lighthouse. I could go on, but the point is, as with many challenging authors, this is the kind of writing that's going to take me a lot of time and either multiple readings or at least multiple books by the author to form a strong opinion of.
