🌶️🌶️.5/5.
I was very excited to read this after Ruin. With that said, I thought this story would go differently than it did. I was a bit disappointed by it because after book 1, I didn’t want the suffering so to speak to take more than half of the book. On that same note, I didn’t like that one of the gods died. I don’t get why that happened…
But despite all that, if the suffering was let’s say just 50% of the story then I need the other 50% to be about reuniting again and to mend the wounds that were caused by that greedy god.
I felt like in a way, those wounds were brushed under the rug even though it was clear it was a work in progress. I wanted a glimpse at what and how everyone were doing after the final battle and I didn’t get that.
Also are all the other gods staying there? I have questions…
I loved Oralia & Ren. It just Wasn’t what I was expecting and that’s on me.
I definitely look forward to whatever Gillian releases next.
