Oh wow, I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting. It is the perfect thriller when you need something dark but easy to sink your teeth into, I could not put this down. Every chapter had me on the edge of my seat and wanting to continue with the next.
The characters, particularly Perla and Leewood, were so interesting to read about and I absolutely loved seeing how their stories were interlinked. I have to say I was able to deduce one of the big reveals however it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all because I think the characters and how the story was plotted kept me intrigued.
I had read A.R. Torre before and enjoyed their previous books so was intrigued to see how this one compared and I have to say it seems to me their writing is always compulsively readable in their books. I adore the narration and how the pacing seems to be that perfect build up until everything carefully slots into place and the reveals start happening. I think one thing has become clear and that is that A.R. Torre is a consistently good thriller author and I will absolutely be reading more from them.
