Next To Me by Amabel Daniels
4.0
I've got a long list of Amabel Daniels books to catch up on, so I thought I'd start with this one. I enjoyed the read and as usual with this author's stories, I found myself cracking up rather often. She knows how to write hilarious scenes.
Sometimes I wasn't entirely sure if the chemistry was all that strong for me between the two leads - but then something would happen to change my mind on that. It was certainly an exasperating read in that things kept going wrong to thwart the characters' main mission, but I guess that was the whole point of the plot. There wouldn't have been a plot without all those mishaps.
To summarise I'd say this isn't my favourite that I've read by this author, but I still enjoyed it. And it was my 60th read of the year, meaning I have achieved my 2019 challenge!
