A China rabbit doll goes on a journey to love and be loved.

I read this book with my five-year-old daughter, and we both very much enjoyed it.

While reading, I wondered how it would end because it was impossible to hope that Edward would end up with Abilene, his original owner, again, but I'm so glad he did. When he saw the pocket watch worn as a necklace on the lady in the shop, I got tears in my eyes, and I cried the last two pages.
