Didn't help that this was a book club choice so felt I had to read in order to give a fair opinion there was some parts I didn't mind the historical background to magic and mental tricks was interesting but too much of it I couldn't care less. I know my memory is bad but if this is what I've got to do in order to improve it then forget it I will just continue to use pen and paper. In some ways Derren Brown quite clearly has not grown up yet still a teenage boy. I'm sure he's brilliant in person as there were some funny moments and live I'm sure he is entertaining but not as a book.
