An American Childhood by Annie Dillard
4.0

I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to pick up and read in small pieces because there's no real narrative arc. She jumps all over the place, but she generally gets older throughout the book. Her descriptions are vivid and interesting. Her parents seemed like characters. I'm many ways her childhood seems wholly unremarkable, except for the fact that she remembers things with such clarity and emotion.
