Where Are the Children Now? by Mary Higgins Clark, Alafair Burke
4.0

This is a sequel to Mary Higgins Clark's novel "Where Are The Children?" and it's co-authored by Alafair Burke. It starts off a bit slow to provide enough background information about Mike and Melissa who were abducted as children in the first novel, and then it picks up the pace and barrels forward with twists and turns. The story seems a little farfetched at times, but the writing is good, the chapters are short, the story is interesting and there are enough surprises to keep you engaged. You don't have to read the first book but I would strongly recommend it. It will provide you with a deeper understanding. Plus, you can't beat the original book. It is really good!
